Assign Dedicated IP
You have to
configure the IP Address setting before you can assign dedicated
IP Address for a selected location. Please refer to IP Address Settings for detail explainations.

You can also
assign dedicated IP Address for any equipment in your network by
choosing the menu 'Assign Dedicated IP'. Unlike 'Assign New IP
Address' which automatically allocates IP Address, 'Assign
Dedicated IP' is for exceptional assignment which require a
special/dedicated IP Address for any equipment.
Instruction
Steps:
- Click Area to
select the area.
- For Regional
LAN you have to select a state.
- Then choose
the City.
- Choose the
Workgroup for Regional LAN format or
- Type in the
IP value (denotes the third octet). This value represents
the segment number for Divisional LAN format.
- Type in the
IP Octet 4.
- Enter the
equipment type
myIPs will scan
myIPs database to ensure that the choosen IP Address is available.
myIPs will also ensure that the choosen IP Octet 4 is in the
defined IP range for the equipment. myIPs will discover or scan
the network to ensure that the choosen IP Address is not used. If
the assigned IP Address is being used, a dialog box will appear
to notify used IP Address. Click 'Detail Info' to get information
on the equipment. Note: myIPs will try to obtain further
information on the equipment such as hostname, LAN ID and MAC
Address. This information will be updated into the Remarks field.
You can include
additional information such as Project Name, User Name and User
Address by clicking on 'User Details' tab for any new IP
Address assignment.

Click on Unit/Division
to select user's address or click to add new Unit/Division Setting.
Click 'Save' to
store information into myIPs database.
Note:
Use 'Dedicated
IP Address' assignment only if necessary due to unavoidable
technical requirement.
